NATIONAL GET UP DAY - February 1
Wed Feb 1st

National Get Up Day

On February 1st, National Get Up Day will bring inspiring tales of perseverance.. The day reminds us to pick ourselves up after we've fallen and giving it (whatever it is) a try again.

When rinks around the country gather to experience skating's joys and benefits, the official end of National Skating Month (January) comes to an end. (January) How to fall and get back up is one of the first lessons every figure skater learns... This day isn't just about skating, though. It is about the Get Up spirit, which can be applied to every facet of life. Through stories, photographs, films, videos, and social media, the day inspires others.

More importantly, February 1st reminds us all how to get up when we stumble.. We never know when our attempts to achieve a target or overcome an obstacle will encourage another to do the same. On National Get Up Day, share your Get Up story whether you like inspiration on or off the ice, in a classroom, through a coworker, or in your own neighborhood.
