Celebrate Bisexuality Day unites the bisexual community, their families, and their allies on September 23rd. In addition, it raises concerns and provides an opportunity to educate the public about bisexuality.

History has a bisexuality day in honor of bisexuality day
Wendy Curry of Maine, Michael Page of Florida, and Gigi Raven Wilbur of Texas founded Celebrate Bisexuality Day in 1999. The founders selected the date on Freddy Mercury (Queen's lead singer)'s birthday to determine the date. The date exemplified both the dedication to raising awareness and the need to eliminate prejudice.
