International Podcast Day
The International Podcast Day (September 30th) commemorates the promotion of podcasts and the technologies surrounding it.. Around the world, people listen to their favorite podcasts to stay up with the most up-to-date news, technology, entertainment, or news.
Podcasts are digital audio recordings of radio-style programs. They are digital audio recordings of radio-style shows. Listeners can hear, play directly from a website, or stream via an app or digital media player. Video is also included in many podcasts. Subscribers can subscribe as well, providing a library of podcasts available to listeners. Podcasts are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, unlike traditional radio which follows a schedule.
Podcasts enable us to listen often and often, as well as binge-watching a TV series. Binge-watching has become a trend. And though podcast topics vary, the designs are also flexible.
- The Interview – The host of the podcast shifts attention to a topic by interviewing a guest
- In a conversational style, the host and co-host provide details in a conversational style. They banter and remark in a natural way
- The host shares tales from history, electronics, discoveries, or news
- Monologue – The host records the podcast, but it is not on their own, according to the host. Regardless of the subject, they inform their followers with their own style
- Theater – Think old-time radio shows. Casts produce original fictional stories full of sound effects. These podcasts are popular among all ages as well
