National Mole Day
We'll ban any images of a burrowing creature's celebrations right away; National Mole Day honors a unique number in chemistry. On October 23rd, chemists and chemistry students mark the occasion each year.

The celebrations, more specifically, take place between 6:02 AM and 6:02 p.m. on June 2, 2002 AM. :02 AM. The time and date are written 6:02 10/23 in the United States. Avogadro's time and date are calculated from Avogadro's number. The number of Avagadro's number is 6.021023.23. Hence, one of the seven base SI units, determining the number of particles (atoms or molecules) in a single mole of a substance is therefore one of the seven base SI units.

National mole day history has a long tradition.
National Mole Day was inspired by an article in The Science Teacher in the early 1980s. The National Mole Day Foundation was established on May 15, 1991 by a chemistry teacher at Prairie du Chien Senior High School who was inspired by the article and founded the National Mole Day Foundation.
