International Dwarfism Awareness Day
On October 25, International Dwarfism Awareness Day honors little people. Achondroplasia, a bone growth disorder that causes dwarfism, is also present on the day.
"Without cartilage formation," Achondroplasia means "without cartilage production." It occurs in one in every 15,000 to one in 40,000 live births. Those with this disorder are referred to as dwarfs, which is why this disorder is also known as dwarfism. Other common ways to refer to those with achondroplasia include little people or people of short stature. A midget is one word that few people do not like to be called is a midget. Little People of America (LPA) released a statement in 2015 calling for the word to be abolished. They believe it is a derogatory slur to refer to people of short stature.
Dwarfism is characterized by short arms and legs in comparison to the head and trunk. A larger head, poor muscle tone, sleep apnea, and spinal stenosis are all typical. The average height of men with dwarfism is 4 feet, 4 inches. The average height of women with dwarfism is 4 feet, 1 inch. b.e. Those with dwarfism have a final height of 4 foot 10 inches or less.
Although some young people are still struggle with physical and social stigmas, many are still leading healthy and active lives. Many people with dwarfism drive, complete their education, get married, and even have children of their own. There are also many famous people with dwarfism. These famous people include actors, comedians, comedians, singers, musicians, athletes, and politicians.

History has passed by a day in the international dwarfism awareness campaign
Little People of America, founded by actor Billy Barty and some of his associates in 1957. (LPA). The United States today, the group has 6500 members across the country. LPA wanted to honor Billy Barty, so they established International Dwarfism Awareness Day in 2012. Billy Barty, who was born in 1924, was born on October 25th, the birthdate of Billy Barty. This is also why the month of October is National Dwarfism Awareness Month.
