America Recycles Day

Every year on November 15, millions of people around the United States celebrate America Recycles Day. The day brings awareness of recycling and the buying of refurbished products.

It's important how we recycle and reuse products. One-use water bottles flood America's waterways and landfills at a rate of 60 million per day, for example. Reducing this number can be achieved with water filter systems and using portable reusable drinking bottles and cups.

The day in america is a reversal of history

In 1997, the National Recycling Coalition founded America Recycles Day, which was the first national recycling organization. President Barack declares the day each year, encouraging Americans to commit to recycling. Keep America Beautiful, this day has been a project of Keep America Beautiful since 2009.
