On tea plantations, there is also a need for improved sanitation. In addition, women account for 55% of the workforce on tea plantations.. These women usually don't have access to education, so they don't have access to education.

The international tea day is the longest in history. i.e
International Tea Day was first introduced at the World Social Forum in 2004. The first International Tea Day was celebrated in New Delhi in 2005. In 2006, Sri Lanka began hosting celebrations in 2006. International Tea Day celebrations, as well as Global Tea Conferences, have been responsible for coordinating International Tea Day celebrations. The Indian government submitted a report to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization in 2015 (FAO). The initiative was to extend the observance to countries around the world. In June of 2019, the UN considered combining special tea days in several countries into one day.
International Tea Day is set to be celebrated on May 21st by the Intergovernmental Group on Tea. The plan was accepted at a recent FAO conference and is awaiting UN General Assembly approval.
