Discrimination, social stigma, and loneliness are among the most common problems LBGT elders face on a daily basis. However, older LGBT people are often overlooked when care is required.

Elders day in the United States have a long tradition of lgbt elders

SAGE, the country's biggest (and oldest) LBGT group, focuses on improving the lives of LGBT elders. In addition, they act as advocates for older LGBT people in need. Since 1978, the group is advocating for legislative reforms that meet LGBT elders' needs by education and support to providers and families. The government can also endorse reforms in legislation and provide services where needed.

LGBT people have generally hid themselves from society for the longest time. Even though discrimination against an LGBT person today is against the law, there was a time when being LGBT was unlawful.. More than those who have fresh memories in their minds than LGBT elders, no one recalls this more than those who have fresh memories in their minds.
