Rosie Tholl, an American pen pal, who has travelled around the world to visit some of her pen pals, was the inspiration for National Pen Pal Day.. She was also the co-coordinator and co-coordinator for Pen Pals United and was also the co-founder and co-coordinator for Pen Pals United.
