World Hydrography Day

The importance of surveying and charting bodies of water is highlighted on World Hydrography Day, June 21st. also encourages the general public to learn more about the science of hydrographs.

Although the majority of the earth's water is found in oceans, rivers, swamps, glaciers, and aquifers, the majority of the water is also found in lakes, rivers, swamps, glaciers, and aquifers.
