Coconut oil alone does not fall into the superfood category due to its medium-chain triglyceride (MCTs) content and all that they do. Coconut oil plays a vital role in your body, whether supporting a weight loss regimen, moisturizing skin, and hair, or converting into energy.

We use the whole coconut in a variety of ways for our bodies and everyday cooking. Each has the following nutrients and flavor: From shredded coconut to milk, cream, water, and oil, each provides essential vitamins and flavor. As well, Its anti-viral and anti-microbial properties are also notable.

Coconut is a form of fiber, Vitamin B6, iron, and minerals such as magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium, and zinc. Coconut oil moisturizes our skin while still helping our skin stay clear and hair silky.

We love coconuts in the kitchen, of course! Beyond baked goods, coconut adds sweet flavor to our cooking, and because the MCTs in coconut oil don't absorb in the body as fat, it is a healthy alternative to other oils and fats. The coconut infuses sweet flavor to our cooking, and is a popular alternative to other oils and fats.

The flavor of coconut oil makes the best air-popped popcorn. Add coconut milk to your curry dish and gain rave reviews! Those who are lactose intolerant and craving ice cream also know that coconut milk is also a good substitute for creamy homemade ice cream. Of course, it isn't summer without a pia colada!

Beyond the fruit and water of the coconut's as food, many people also use the husk and shells as a potting medium, carbon filtration, charcoal, bio-fuel, and even organic cat litter. The husks can also be used to produce coir, which manufacturers use to make mattresses, doormats, and other items.
