On January 23rd, one of the nations' most popular desserts, National Pie Day, will be celebrated. No matter how you slice it, pie in about every form makes a crowd happy. Fruit pies, berry pies, and cream pies are among the delectable dishes of homemade goodness on offer.

The pie is simply commemorated on National Pie Day. Many people are encouraged to bake their favorite pie, but more importantly, the day reminds us to enjoy eating pies. Will it be in a mode? That's the only other thing you should ask is: will it be al a mode?

Did you know, the first pies appeared around 9500 BC in Egypt's Neolithic period or New Stone Age? So, humans have been eating pies for a long time.. We shouldn't have a problem finding one we like because there are so many to choose from. We celebrate the day twice a year (more than their cousin National Pi Day) after all.

National Pie Day is the first national pie day in the United States' history

In 1986, the American Pie Council established National Pie Day to honor Crisco's 75th anniversary of "serving foods to families around the world."

Q. Why are pies round? Why are pies round?

A. There are a few reasons why pies are round. A circle is a more natural result of this process than first, when making the dough and rolling it out. Also, hand pies are still made today, as the dough that was wrapped around the ingredients is similar to hand pies. A round shape bakes more evenly than others. Now, if a pie had been squared, mathematically there would have been more pie.

Does National Pie Day only celebrate dessert pies?

A. No. A. No. A. No. All kinds of pies are welcome on the day. You should have one for every meal of the day and dessert, as well!!
