International Museum Day, every year on May 18th, provides a platform for museum professionals to inform the general public about the importance of museums and the challenges they face.
Museums help preserve the world's culture and history. Their role in collecting objects and historical records helps us to better understand our roots. Museums also help to establish an all-important link to the past.
