History of the international podiatry day has influenced the international podiatry day

Podiatrists International Federation of Podiatrists was established in 1947 to pioneer the field of podiatry around the world. The Federation advances the podiatric profession by sharing knowledge and experience among its members. Currently, 26 countries are members of the IFP.

The International Podiatry Day has been credited to the IFP for coordinating International Podiatry Day. The IFP initiated the World Foot Health Awareness Month in 2016. This was their way of raising concerns about the importance of foot health.. This observance was changed to International Podiatry Day in 2018.
