National Animal Crackers Day

On April 18th, each year honors a childhood favorite. A box of these delectable snack not only provided a delectable snack, but they also provided a little entertainment!

The anniversary brings us right back to our childhood memories and the numerous boxes of Animal Crackers we shared with our families. Animal Crackers are a form of small cookie baked in the shape of circus or zoo animals, such as a lion, tiger, bear, or elephant. The most popular variety is light-colored and slightly sweet. However, the makers also offer chocolate and frosted varieties... Even though animal crackers are made with layered dough, similar to crackers, they are sweet like cookies.

Animals are available in 13 different brands of animal crackers. Everyone will need about two of every kind of animal to play bingo.. Doesn't it look a little familiar?) (Sounds a little familiar, doesn't it?) On the bingo card, randomly place animal crackers. As the animals are named, take the correct cracker off the menu and snack, and enjoy! The characters were released from the train's cage and set free in 2018, by Nabisco (the new manufacturer of Barnum's Animal Crackers). The animals are now seen roaming freely in nature, as shown by the photographs on the side of the box.
