Every year, National Gay Men's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NGMHAAD), raises concerns and raises awareness of the condition. In addition, the day is dedicated to finding ways to prevent the disease.

Many people with HIV/AIDs need to know the benefits of continuous therapy. Since HIV weakens the immune system, it's also vital to have a vaccination regimen.

The National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) in 2008 introduced this observance day in 2008 to highlight the disproportionate effects of the disease on gay men.
