NATIONAL HONESTY DAY – April 30
Sun Apr 30th

National Honesty Day

We are encouraged to be honest in all we do each year on April 30th, National Honesty Day.

We know the various types of lies. Just a little or maybe told an all-out whopper that we've saved someone's feelings or fudged the truth. We've all heard a lie or two if we've been on board.

This observance supports truthfulness. Whether we're doing company or speaking with our children, honesty goes a long way toward instilling confidence. We all make mistakes. We often don't know the answer or can't predict the outcome of a situation. However, we can influence our own behavior and words. We can't do what we do because we can speak the truth in all we do.

The national honesty day has been a tradition in the United States

In the early 1990s, author The Book of Lies, M. Hirsh Goldberg, founded National Honesty Day. In comparison to all the foolishness the first day of the month brings, the former press secretary to a Maryland governor selected the last day of April..

The day is often used as a tool to discourage against the most deceptive lies in history. Occasionally, the day also reminds politicians that they should avoid lies and tell the truth.
