National Truffle Day
National Truffle Day celebrates a delectable dessert on May 2nd and places the chocolate truffle in the spotlight.
ng, cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or coconut are all typical chocolatiers make this sweet treat with a chocolate ganache center coated in chocolate, icing, cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or coconut. They may add other delectable surprises to the truffle. For example, some candy manufacturers include cream, melted chocolate, caramel, nuts, fruit, nougat, nougat, fudge, toffee, mint, marshmallow, or liqueur.
In December 1895, N. Petruccelli of Chambery, France, is thought to be the originator of the chocolate truffle. When the Prestat Chocolate Shop opened in London in 1902, Truffles became much more popular in 1902. Prestat also sells "Napoleon III" truffles made to the original recipe.
