National Yo-yo Day
Every year on June 6th, we celebrate National Yo-Yo Day, the fun holiday. The day honors the popular stringed toy that generations have loved. Toys have enjoyed for generations.. The Sleeper, Walk the Dog, Shooting the Moon, Around the World, or Hop the Fence are all good days to take out your yo-yo's and try your hand at The Sleeper, Walk the Dog, Shooting the Moon, Around the World, or Hop the Fence.

The yo-yo is an object made up of an axle connected to two disks and a length of string looped around the axle. When Donald F. Duncan, Sr. invented the Duncan Yo-Yo in America in the early 1900s, he made the yo-yo popular in America. In 1932, He first registered the word "Yo-Yo" in 1932.

History of the national yo-yo day in the United States has spanned history
National Yo-Yo Day, founded in 1990 in Arcade, NY by Daniel Volk, on June 6th, the date of Donald F. Duncan's birth in 1892. Yo-yo is the yo-yo. Volk, a gifted yo-yo demonstrator from 1976-1978, touring the western part of the United States, worked for Duncan Toy Company as a skilled yo-yo protester from 1976-1978. Volk had the opportunity to share some of his yo-yoing wisdom to two young comedians as a result. Later, the Smothers Brothers produced The Yo-Yo Man Instructional Video. Mr. Volk appears right along with the comedians in the video, as well as the comedians. Hummingbird Toy Company manufactured the first of many Smothers Brothers brand yo-yos in conjunction with National Yo-Yo Day.
