Every year on November 15, millions of people around the United States celebrate America Recycles Day. The day brings awareness of recycling and the buying of refurbished products.

AMERICA RECYCLES DAY - November 15

It's important how we recycle and reuse products. One-use water bottles flood America's waterways and landfills at a rate of 60 million per day, for example. Reducing this number can be achieved with water filter systems and using portable reusable drinking bottles and cups.

Repurposing and reusing old items reduces waste by repurposing and recycling old items. Buying at secondhand stores is one of the easiest ways to do this. Not only does it save you money but it also saves you money. The old saying, "one person's garbage is another person's treasure," holds true. These stores carry more than you might expect, from clothing and furniture to kitchenware and replacement parts. Consider it if you've never shopped this way.

Aluminum is one of the recyclable products we excel at recycling. In fact, the United States recycles about 55% of its aluminum. That's more than any other reused product.
