When is Global Recycling Day?

Saturday March 18th

Everyone is invited to look at their garbage in a new way this year on March 18th. The initiative serves as a reminder that a lot of our garbage is reused, recyclable, or not really garbage at all.

Global Recycling Day - March 18

We dump an incredible 2.12 billion tons of garbage around the world. That number includes food, electronics, paper garbage, and much more. If we do not find innovative ways to eliminate and minimize waste, there will be no place to put it all in the future.

Communities, groups, companies, and individuals are all working to encourage recycling, reusing, and repurposing items. They also host competitions that provide a wealth of recycling know-how. It's an opportunity to try new ways to use old things and make it a regular habit.

#globalrecyclingday is a worldwide cyclingday that can be tracked by anyone.
