When is International Caps Lock Day?

Wednesday June 28th

CAPS LOCK DAY IS INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY.

International Caps Lock Day - June 28 October 22

Go on. Type freely and without fear. Take the fast route. It's INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY! No one will know if you're shouting, celebrating, or if you always type in all caps.

This year is both October 22nd and June 28th, it appears that the world needs to use the caps lock so much that we're reminded twice a year; October 22nd and June 28th.

International Caps Lock Day pokes fun at the typographical way some Westerners use the caps lock. "The overwhelming majority of the world's population writes in scripts that have no idea of letter casing," the author of the October 22nd date, Derek Arnold, a software programmer from Iowa, was quoted as saying.

That may be true, but the majority of scripts in the world have letter casing. They can be restricted by the language and script, and the rules governing them change. A bicameral script makes the typographical word whether a language uses Greek, Latin, Arminian, Coptic, Coptic, or some others. Even in traditional languages, Eastern languages change between forms and have developed uppercase letters as a way to distinguish works written in katakana.
