Applications appeared quickly when our smartphone handsets were equipped with smart technologies, such as Short for Software Application. As the popularity of our phones increased with processing chips, internet connectivity, and touchscreens, so did the applications that became available.
Apps continue to influence how we work, live, and play since that time. They also have opportunities by starting thousands of new companies, millions of new employees, and billions of dollars in revenue.
With the introduction of Apple's iPhone in 2007, the Apps accelerated in growth. Apple introduced OS 2.0 in 2008, which included approximately 500 applications and enabled third-party app development. On both the Apple and Android platforms, a slew of applications for company, entertainment, gaming, group, surveillance, and so much more are available. And every day, programmers add thousands more.
Not only do apps help us stay connected and organized, but applications that enable us to be flexible and adaptable, but also changing lifestyles.
