On Birth Mothers Day, the biological mothers of adopted children are acknowledged. It is mainly by mothers who, for whatever reason, gave up their children to be raised by someone else.
This is if there was ever a controversial holiday. Birth mothers were taught to educate, to remember, and to cope. However, many mothers who gave up their children have feelings of remorse and often guilt. Many people don't want a special day.
