When is National Cheese Fondue Day?

Tuesday April 11th

National Cheese Fondue Day, which is celebrated annually on April 11th, honors a food holiday that many people love. Fondue is a dish of melted cheese or other ingredients served in a communal pot (caquelon) over a small portable stove (réchaud). Using long-stemmed forks, participants then dip the bread into the cheese. A variety of cheeses, wine, and seasoning are mixed in the Cheese fondue.

"Kass mit Wein zu kochen," a 1966 book published in Zurich under the title "Kass mit Wein zu kochen," is known for making the first known cheese fondue dish. It calls for grated or cut up cheese melted with wine, and for the bread to be dipped into it.

In 1875, the first known cheese and wine dish "Cheese Fondue" was published under the name "Cheese Fondue."

The Swiss were so fond of fondue that Cornstarch may have been the reason. Fondue may have been the reason. In 1905, the thickener was introduced to Switzerland's land. rch thickens liquid and creates smooth and creamy gravies, as many may not know. The wine and cheese emulsion is also produced in a smooth and stable way.
