When is National Freedom Of Information Day?

National Freedom of Information Day is celebrated annually during Sunshine Week on March 16th. President James Madison's birthday is also commemorated.

In addition, historians praise Madison for his role in drafting the United States Constitution and as the leading advocate and author of the Bill of Rights.. Individual rights and freedom of information were of utmost importance in Madison.
