When is National Good Samaritan Day?
Monday March 13thOn March 13th, the unselfish behavior of those who provide assistance when needed is recognized on National Good Samaritan Day. In all its variations, the day is also known as Good Samaritan Involvement Day and honors kindness.
The word "good Samaritan" comes from a Bible parable where a Samaritan helped a stranger who had been robbed and beaten and left dead by the side of the road. Not only cleaned the man's wounds and clothed him, but escorted him to an inn where he paid for the man's care.
Many that are strangers perform acts of kindness for those in need. Today, the word is used to describe those who do acts of kindness for those in need.
