When is National Hat Day?
Sunday January 15thOn National Hat Day, hang on to your hats and celebrate in style. On January 15th, the annual festival, whether you're a fan of fedora, cap, cloche, derby, or sunhat, is held. Tell the tale behind it as you dig out your ceremonial best and tell the tale behind it. Show the name you give it. Wear your warmest tuque, stocking cap, beanie, and beanie. We have a million hats, styles, and names we give them. We certainly could wear a hat a day and never get through them all.
For several reasons, we wear hats. Many hats shield us from elements or harm. Some were worn for ceremonial or religious reasons. Some hats make us look good or cover up what we don't like or not. Our hats have a lot of meaning over the centuries.
