National Latino AIDS Awareness Day | October 15

#latinoaidsawarenessday

More than 1.1 million people in the United States are living with HIV/AIDS, and one out of every seven of them isn't aware that they are affected by it. Awareness days throughout the year rely on targeted populations and their specific needs regarding prevention and education. The Latino and Hispanic groups are among the Latino and Hispanic groups in this commemoration.

The NLAAD campaign, which is based in Los Angeles, helps non-profit groups and health departments reach Latino/Hispanic groups. The initiative, which includes HIV testing, providing HIV prevention information, and increasing access to healthcare, are among the campaign's goals.

Culture, language, and history can all be barriers to learning about the risks and becoming more aware of the disease. The day aims to crack those barriers and bring more hope to Latino communities.
