When is National Mole Day?

We'll ban any images of a burrowing creature's celebrations right away; National Mole Day honors a unique number in chemistry. On October 23rd, chemists and chemistry students mark the occasion each year.

Hence, one of the seven base SI units, determining the number of particles (atoms or molecules) in a single mole of a substance is therefore one of the seven base SI units.
