National Mutt Day is a great way to find the perfect canine companion. Despite the name, a mutt learns, obeys, and trains much like purebred animals. Their lineage can't be identified and their appearances a bit unclear, but their companionship will be faithful.
About 3.3 million dogs enter shelters each year, according to the ASPC A. Every one of these abandoned and often injured animals find their way to a shelter, but each one needs a permanent home. If you like it or not, their potential is limitless. Adoption can be difficult because some of the benefits of adoption are often ignored. Although humans are accustomed to patience, their four-legged companion learns to trust and new boundaries.
