When is National Tartan Day?

On April 6th, the Scottish roots are woven throughout the United States, and the estimated 20-25 million Americans claim Scottish descent. During Scottish American Heritage Month, the commemoration takes place.

Americans with Scottish rootstry struggled for liberty as well as any American from the start. They had it in their blood.

9 of the 13 governors in the newly established United States, surprisingly, were Scots. The Declaration of Independence has been signed by 56 people. Nearly a third of those signers were of Scottish descent, according to some commentators.

Those with Tartan blood were and are independent and resourceful. They are both prolific inventors and writers. They are gifted performers and artists, as well as experienced politicians, and scholars. Over 11 million Americans today have a Scottish or Scotch-Irish origins, according to the United States. They are the 8th largest ethnic group in the United States, making them the eighth largest ethnic group in the country.
