NATIONAL ZIPPER DAY – April 29

The sewing machine's developer made the first attempt at sewing the zipper... Elias Howe, an 1851 engineer, received a patent for his "Automatic, Continuous Clothing Closure." he wrote it. owe, on the other hand, never promoted his product and may not have been recognized for his work.

Whitcomb Judson began selling the "Clasp Locker" for the first time two years ago. This unit was used as a more advanced hook-and-eye shoe fastener, similar to Elias Howe's patent. In 1893, Judson founded the Universal Fastener Company, where he designed his first unit and debuted it at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. He had a rough start. Judson earned fame as the nation's best-invention because he sold his invention before the public was available.

The Universal Fastener Company recruited Gideon Sundback, a Swedish-American electrical engineer, in 1906. He was highly trained and well known for his service to the company. He was well-known and well-known for his dedication to the company. He was granted a patent for the modern zipper on April 29, 1913, also known as the "Separable Fastener" then. In 1917, he submitted revisions to his invention. Today we have designs that look very similar to Sundback's patent's ones. We know them as zippers because he may have branded them a separable fastener.

B.F. Goodrich invented the word zipper in 1923, when it was used in the boots and pouches it made. The company also copiedrighted the name for a time.
