When is Squirrel Appreciation Day?

Saturday January 21st

Squir Appreciation Day celebrates a species that some consider a pest and others find amusing. Christy Hargrove, a wildlife rehabilitator in North Carolina who is affiliated with the Western North Carolina Nature Center, is a wildlife rehabilitationist. The event itself is up to the individual or group, Christy says, from putting out extra food for the squirrels to learning something new about the species.

Squis are of three species of squirrels, with three of them being squirrels of three species

The prairies and deserts of North America are blanketed by ground squirrels, such as the thirteen-lined ground squirrel, the rock squirrel, California ground squirrel, and many others. They often carry the pest name, and they are often described as rodents, often causing injury. Predators love them as a delectable snack, as well. They work together to shield themselves as a result.. Their only defense is to escape!
