World Circus Day

World Circus Day, which takes place on the third Saturday in April, raises funds for the circus arts every year. Both amateur and professional circus performers also receives a lot of praise for the day's well-deserved praise.

The modern-day circus appears much different than the ones held in ancient Rome. And it's a good thing, too. Circuses during that period consisted of combat gladiators, animal killings, and other blood sports. The word "circus" is derived from the Latin word for circle, which is derived from the Latin word for circle. In circle-shaped amphitheaters, Romans hosted their performances. The Romans' most popular form of entertainment at that time were circuses. Despite the fact that the circus evolved through the years, entertaining the masses was still the primary aim.

In 1768, the first circus we have come to know appeared in 1768. Astley's time, the English equestrian named Philip Astley began showing trick horse riding exhibitions. To fill the voids between his equestrian performances, Astley eventually recruited acrobats, jugglers, and a clown. Astley became known as the "father of the modern circus" because of this. Eventually, an Englishman named John Bill Ricketts brought the show to the United States, but not before. In Philadelphia, the first circus in America took place in 1793. The first circus in America took place in Philadelphia. Thanks to P.T. Barnum's sponsorship of the circus in 1872, the circus became known as "The Greatest Show on Earth" in 1872.

The circus continues to be extremely popular today. Thousands of people and hundreds of animals are mixed in a large circus. Across the United States, there are 85 circus schools and training centers. About 90% of the American population lives within an hour's drive of a circus.
