World Net Cancer Day

World NET Cancer Day, November 10th, raises concerns about neuroendocrine tumors (NET). This day also serves as a voice for the NET community in the hopes of improving diagnostics, diagnosis, and research.

hat arise in neuroendocrine cells, neuroendocrine tumors are tumors that arise in neuroendocrine cells. These cells are similar to nerve cells in terms of sending or receiving messages within the nervous system. These medical cells also function like hormones, which are also used in hormone manufacturing. Neuroendocrine tumors develop in certain organs, such as the lungs, appendix, rectum, small intestine, and pancreas. Some tumors are slowing growing slowly, while others are more rapid. Pain, lumps under the skin, exhaustion, and weight loss are all typical signs that include pain, cramps under the skin, and weight loss. When these tumors produce excess hormones, the signs may include diarrhea, frequent urination, increased thirst, and dizziness.

Neuroendocrine tumors or NET cancer are both common to other conditions, so it is difficult to diagnose neuroendocrine tumors or NET cancer. Over 80% of all NET patients have incorrect diagnoses.. These patients are initially diagnosed with the wrong disease and are treated for the wrong disease. NET patients are not uncommon for NET patients to go up to seven years with incorrect treatment. The cancer has often spread to other areas of the body when doctors finally diagnose the condition correctly. For these reasons, NET cancer awareness is of utmost importance.

NET cancers account for more than 12,000 people a year in the United States. About 125,000 patients are currently suffering from the disease. According to the number of cases, the number of cases is expected to rise by 5 percent each year. Aretha Franklin and Steve Jobs are among the many well-known people to have died from NET cancer.
